The M4-2 worked great for me. More than once, I had heard it was a
troublesome camera, but I do not know where these troubles were supposed to
occur. I had mine C-L-A'd by Leica early on, and it never gave me any
hassles. Then again, I never used the flash shoe, synch outlet and
autowinder, so if these were trouble spots, I'm ignorant.

No, I don't think so. Even if mine had worked 100% correctly 100% of the
time, I'd still have considered it "nothing special" in terms of it's basic
design. Had it been as good as the Nikon FE, it would've been noteworthy.
It wasn't.
