I agree with Mr. Warman.

Leica users should not insulate themselves from the world. Many good
photographers, and some great ones, cannot afford Leicas. Yet, they create
wonderful images.

The Shutterbug thread is very relevant. Shutterbug has Leica plastered all
over. Yet the overall quality of the magazine is questionable. They may be
doing all of us a disservice.

Without Shutterbug, prices on used Leicas might be more in line with
reality. People use Shutterbug as a price guide.

Since the advent of WWW, we no longer need Shutterbug. Many of the dealers
have their own sites. This is great. May the trend continue.

Paying $3.95 for a bunch of ads, and an occasional short piece by Roger
Hicks, does not make sense. I prefer to spend this money on a good used book.

I enjoyed the thread about Alpa. For all it is worth, the Leica bodies are
also worked on by Swiss craftsmen. This is why all Leicas seem to have an
individual feel to them.

I would also welcome more information on the new R8. It seems that Leica is
making a major step. Let us hope that this step is in the right direction.

I am curious about the electrical contacts in the R8. What are their functions?

Best regards to all and Pax et Lux,

Chris
