The muggee, Ben, reported the matter immediately to the police. The fact
that they were Hispanic narrowed the search in the short time immediately
after the theft. The police would be able immediately to discount other than
Hispanics running around with a camera type bag. Yes, only for a short time
would that description be useful, but for that time *very* useful. Why,
Steve, do you think the authorities give those types of descriptions to each
other. Because it's useful info, that's why!

Not gratuitous in the least.  Jeesh!
