I received the following information from Leica on their new releases at
Photokina.
R8  completely new slr that offers three methods of light metering. the
fastest shutter speed of 1/8000, flash sync of 1/250, and a high eyepoint
viewfinder.

Vario-Elmar-R f/4.2/105-280mm

Apo Module System for long focal lengths.  This consists of two different
lens heads and three different focus modules, resulting in six different
telephoto lenses with the four focal lengths of 280, 400. 560, and 800mm.

Elmarit-M f/2.8/24 mm ASPH 

There are a few more items I will not go into detail on.
