In a riot in Trafalgar Square [see my page http://www.caliach.com/paulr/euro96riot/euro96riot.html] a thug tried to rip the flash off. The hot shoe on the M6 was pulled half off the body. I sent it to Leica asking for an estimate. After nearly three weeks of inaction it suddenly turned up with a bill for #90 ($135). On inspection all they had done was bend the hot shoe back, and incompletly at that. Needless to say I was not best pleased with the delay and casualness of the repair. Next time I'll go to a private repairer. Asking around other London based Pro Leica users it does seem to be a problem here getting Leicas repaired by Leica (who often just send them to Germany anyway with additional delay and expense).
