The Leica Camera, Inc. Consumer Price List dated April 1, 1995 also shows
both subject lenses as current.

BTW, Leica tells me that they will not print this list in the future. When I
balked at that policy, I was told that it was unnecessary; that the dealers
set the market prices as a result of their advertising. The use of that list
is *more* than merely a listing of the manufacturer's suggested retail
price. It is an official list of what equipment is current in the Leica line
at the time of its printing. (Sales brochures printed in Germany are
outdated when they reach these shores, and because of their expense, are
used completely over many years before new are printed and distributed.)

As usual, Leica is taking a dumb tack, here. The list is a one page double
sided typed list. Takes a secretary about three minutes to type and is then
photocopier and sent to those who request it. I'll bet if we were to really
get on their case about this through their 800 number, they might
reconsider. Care to join my endeavor?
