The language I used is clear:  there are two versions of the 2/50 NF lens.
MG Moss did a fine piece for the LHSA journal, Viewfinder, last year on this
point.  I recall that the eyebrows from the earlier version will not fit the
later, but I could have that backwards.

I said "breezily" because Leitz named the lens the NF and used this
constantly in their literature.  American Leicaphiles used "dual-range"
consistently.  Seems a manufacturer now lacks even the right to name their
own product ...
