Normally I would have done as you say, but the message was seeking to instruct all of us - probably with the very best intentions - and not only did I not think that the instructions were as helpful as they might seem, but they _seemed_ to be contradicted by the tone of the post, which seemed worth pointing out. In retrospect, it might have been best to say less about that so as not to distract attention from my more positive suggestion as to how people might, if it seemed like a good idea to them, avoid the kind of difficulties that we have been having.
