Did this lens have a particularly > short production run, or is it so well-loved that no one wants to > sell one? What about the 180mm f4? Good lens for travel as it's lighter than the other 180's. I own the 400mm f6.8 and it is a great lens. There are some drawbacks in that the background apparently may appear slightly curved. Otherwise, it's amazing what a 2 element lens can do. It's a long tube and very light, compared to any faster 400mm lens. Alvin Lee
