Hoya is the wrong filter for this lens.  You really need to get the
original Leica filter (E43) for the lens.  Leica E43 is slightly smaller in
diameter than diameter of lens as well so lens shade fits over filter.  I
have the 50mm F1.4 with an SL E43 filter and I have no problems.
