I have the press release from Leica, and have read Pete Stone's reviews
on Compuserve. What do you want to know?

It's as good as the 100 Apo Macro at 100mm and moderate distances. It
is, according to Leica, and confirmed by Pete Stone, is the equal of
Leica's single focal length lenses. So it can replace several Leica
lenses if you have the strength to carry it (50 per cent heavier than
the EOS 70-200 2.8! Yeow!). Pete says it's by far the best zoom he's
ever used - and he's used all the good ones. He bought it right away for
$5,900. Much better price than I thought it would be (was guessing near
$7,000).
