Leica II D chrome copy. Body ser # 150377 ( If were a Fed # = 1939-40). Also, has shutter to 1/1000 ! No slow speed dial. No strap lugs. Top plate inscribed identical to Leica II D. Has Leitz Elmar 3.5/50mm copy as well ( inscribed too - ser # 3088 back of mount ). Lens is marked to F 18. Similiar to early nickel elmars. Leica lens cap copy - also inscribed "Leica" Also have FED marked ever ready case. Condition Body is very clean - no brassing - chrome parts shiny. Shutter is excellent all speeds ( time - 1/20 to 1/1000 ) RF image nice, contrasty. Bottom plate very little if any wear. Inscribed lettering is generally excellent, except where it says Wetzlar - just a little faded, not bad. Overall, a very clean, nice Leica copy. No film cassette - Leica II cassette should fit fine. Lens - lens is not as nice as body. Glass has light clean marks. Some wear around black enamel ring around glass. Lens mounting is so, so ( was probably "so, so" condition when it was new). Lens focuses with RF image, but off a little to distance scale. Shot with it - not bad at all for age. Lens cap is in very nice shape inscribed " Leica " ERC - good heavy brown leather - no strap. Price is a bargain $ 250 postpaid in US - Will consider Leica SM trade(s), old large format lenses ( brass - 4x5).
