Alex, Yes I went to the camera cabinet. No, I do not use it for pictures.
When I want to do rangefinder camera pictures I use one of my M-series or the
CLE. But not the old screw mount. The absence of a rangefinder would be
enough reason for me not to use it. Also, I only have the 50mm Elmar, marked
in feet by the way, but using the half/f-stop numbers.... 4.5, 6.3, etc.
Strange to see that again.

My only activity with the camera is to take out all the Leicas I don't use
often and fire their slow shutter speeds a few times. If I don't, they get
sticky. Only Leicas do that I find. But once loosened again, they work just
fine. And you are absolutely right, the worst thing to do with any camera is
not to use it.

I am having a very annoying problem with my CL at the moment.... the metering
is intermittent. The meter bar moves, I fire the shutter, it may or may not
come back (but never to the same place twice), I fire again, and the meter
fails to come back.. Really strange. New battery too.

Fred
