Oh, my apologies. Okay, here's the facts. :-)

The 35 Summilux M (standard and chrome) is the oldest formula in the M  
line. It dates back to the late 50s or early 60s. Can't remember  
exactly when. Anyway, the new Asperic (not the collector's edition  
which has some structural problems in a few early copies) is a stunner.  
It's costs about $2,600 U.S. But how much is the regular one? About  
$1,900? I say the extra $700 is worth it to have the best 35mm lens on  
earth. Like I said about the 35 Summilux R, which is only slightly  
behind the asperic in performance, it is a killer. Worth every penny.
