Subject: M3 shutter speed question

In one of his articles describing the M3,
Kazuo Nakagawa states that the M3 has intermediate shutter speeds
except between 1/5 and 1/10 (or except between 1/4 and 1/8 in later
models), and that this feature makes it easier for us to use
the Leica Meter M.
However, the instruction manual of my 1955 M3 does not mention
such intermediate speeds at all.
Can someone tell me what the truth is?
Thank you. -- Ichiro Suzuki, suzuki@cs.uwm.edu
