Everyone else joined us via Zoom. Nora is now nearly 2 1/2. The plague seemed to be in remission. So my family gathered in Maine last week. All of my children and their families. I re-established contact with Nora and her parents. She happily observed "You are not on the phone! You are real". We had used FaceTime a lot during the lockdown months. There were a lot of people gathered in a rustic little cabin, and every day there was some crisis that demanded the attention of adults (Covid exposure and subsequent testing, clogged septic tank, hordes of carpenter ants, etc). Little Nora was a bit shy and withdrawn from all of the hubbub. The 3rd day I asked her if I could take her picture, as a posed shot. She agreed, but said she needed to wear her hat. She put two sheer blue scarves over her head and then agreed to be photographed. This is what I got: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/bkreid/family/IMG_1746.jpeg.html I like it. Her mother (my daughter) likes it. Nora herself has expressed no opinion.
