Greetings to all.  I begin with the seed pods from a Mountain Laurel in my
backyard:

I am not sure why they groundskeepers at a nearby healthclinic felt the
need to chain the vines to a tree:

The limestone shelf comes very near the surface in most parts of Austin so
tree roots come to the surface:
