Subject: [Leica] THE SEAGUL - March 1974

Hi there ?

During the dress rehearsal of The Seagull, a gunshot was supposed to be
heard offstage. The stage hands didn't have a gun so they slammed a piece o
lumber on the stage floor. The director was incensed, He demanded an
explanation.The stagehands explained that they didn't not have a gun but
would have one for the first performance.. "Well," the director said,
"there certainly was no shortage of guns in Dallas" ? referring to the
assassination of John F. Kennedy. I thought the entire orchestra was going
to walk out.:
