It's "Marie Josephine Charlotte du Val d'Ognes" by Marie Denise Villiers, 1801 (Metropolitan Museum of Art) and a photo of an Art History student in Mitchell Hall that I took in 1979. The artwork must have been in the back of my mind when I came across the scene down the hall from the Art History department (where I got my degree in 1972). For years, this painting was attributed to Jacques-Louis David. < http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Work/Villiers_amp_19790601_MR_CS_5855a.jpg.html > -- Alan Alan Magayne-Roshak, Senior Photographer University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Photo Services (Retired) UPAA Photographer of the Year 1978 UPAA Master of the Profession 2014 amagayneroshak at gmail.com <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/> "All the technique in the world doesn't compensate for an inability to notice.
