Continuing this weeks journey into old lenses adapted to more modern cameras we have a trio of images using some 50's German telephoto's. The 150 is a Heinz Kilfit Kilar and the 400 is a Meyer Optik Gorlitz Telemegor. They have a similar 5 element design that creates interesting OOF effects while not being terrible as lenses considering the lack of modern glass. Anyway first is a single leaf hanging on: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/fall+leaf+150+Meyer+optik.jpg.html Next is a cluster of leaves that have decided to turn brown: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/fall+leaf+400+Meyer+optik.jpg.html Last is another of my neighbors' magnolia tree. The slight glow is especially common in older single coated lenses from the fifties and early sixties: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/magnolia+leaf+400+Meyer+optik.jpg.html All the best. I will get to the interesting 135's fairly soon. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
