The first image is from a retaining wall across from St. Edwards College: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/stay+fierce_001.jpg.html Normally this mural is covered by plants but the garden center cleaned up the growth one day: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Garden+center+office+mural+facing+Congress.jpg.html You saw this image before when it was on a fence blocking sight lines to a downtown hotel. The hotel commissioned another mural and painted over the original copy. Some artist moved it to a fence blocking a residential construction sight: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/copy+image+moved+from+Congress+to+1st.jpg.html South Austin is a weird place. South Austin refers to land bordered by the lake to the north, Ben White Blvd to the south, I-35 to the east and maybe the main line railroad that bisects Austin. We are in the midst of building mid 7 figure houses and significant commercial building and yet we have long time residents being weird: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/cat+on+mailbox+stage.jpg.html Bouldin Creek cafe continues to provide visually interesting graphic images: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Bouldin+Creek+door.jpg.html Just a nice graphic on a possibly vacant building: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/2424+1st.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
