This week takes us to the Tall Grass Prairie in Kansas just off the KS Tollway near Garden City. If you ever find yourself wandering about in the center of the lower 48 this is a great national monument I believe. It is in most places a working cattle operation but the federal part is attempting to restore to prairie to what it was with buffalo, antelope and other native creatures to restore to prairie: cows eat different grasses so change the character of the grasslands. In any case we hiked up the hills to the buffalo grazing area(no buffalo on our side of the fence) and waited through sunset the first day. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Tall+grass+praire+KS.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Tall+grass+praire+KS+II.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Tall+grass+praire+KS+III.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Tall+grass+praire+KS+VI.jpg.html The next two are\were and experiment.
