The first two images are relatively new on a protective wall surrounding a hydroelectric plant near the dam on Lady Bird Lake. The area is in East Austin which has been predominantly Hispanic but is transitioning to much more wealth than heritage: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/power+to+the+people.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Arte+Texas.jpg.html The next four are from a fence surrounding a parkette in a very small town on the north east border of Austin proper. When stopped by a train running through the town I had time to record the fence: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/mothers+love.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/elephant+child+with+blocks+and+rainbow.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/koi+on+a+fence+panel.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/family+community.jpg.html I believe the fence started as a middle school project in an art class. All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
