These six images were taken down Congress Street south of Lady Bird Lake which is mostly the tourist/upscale shopping area near downtown. The first one is just east of Congress on sixth street. This artist has done this image before but in whites: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/death+do+us+part.jpg.html At the north end of the district some of old Austin remains. This is part of a auto repair shop that is now almost a thing of the past as rents and property taxes have increased: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/engine+repair+bay.jpg.html These next two are from a new artist with a unique minimalist style: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/a+flower+for+u.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/a+flower+for+u.jpg.html Gucci has been building out a shop for more than a year. After tearing out the previous mural they rebuilt the barricade and hired another artist to decorate: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Gucci+door.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/Laura+Lit.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
