This subdivision was first opened in the mid-fifties, so this pole has seen approximately 65 years of service. Though recent years have seen bucket truck access become the standard, the early years saw a lot of climbing with spikes.? The surface of the pole bears witness to this fact. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20210930-DSCF3279-Enhanced.JPG.html The markings on the replacement pole, installed alongside the old one so the cables can be moved piecemeal, tell me that the poles are owned by AT&T, though they carry telephone, cable TV, fiber optic and power cables. They also support transformers serving each home. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20210930-DSCF3276-Enhanced.JPG.html -- Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
