Subject: [Leica] Seeking advice re Leica Reporter 250 352xxx and IIIa with MOOLY Winder 25xx

My Reporter has a spool and a cassette  Obviously lab load the spool and 
camera shoot, feed into cassette (have much experience with Oly and Nikon 
250 but they are cassette to cassette) any problems with that theory?

Mooly on IIIA with Elmar 50 3.5  has arm works great single or multi speed. 
Mooly motor box included a polymer sleeve about 1/4 inch along with a spring 
that fits in this sleeve (WHY) and the proper arm works great but what are 
the sleeve and spring for?
