Subject: [Leica] Tuesday trees

Greetings to all.  We have had an unusually wet spring in this part of
Texas; perhaps you remember Bill Clough's lament about rain, rain and more
rain.  This is a usually thin trickle creek after about two inches of rain:

Back in Chicago, this is a line of trees planted in a 100+ year old
neighborhood after the elm trees succumbed to the elm beetle blight:

Still in Chicago, some people planted birches:

Back along Barton Creek in Austin this is a typical scene along the Green
Belt if you are on the trail looking toward the creek:

I keep coming back to this tree seeming to thrive growing on limestone rock:
