We are not truly confined anymore (except for the midnight-6 a.m. curfew), but still. Yesterday was my daughter?s birthday, and since she had a class at the university until 8:45 p.m., she opted to have a nice dinner at home and invite a few friends (staying below the 10-person limit we have). And she chose curry. So I took the day off and slaved away in the kitchen for 4-5 hours (and that does not include making the sauce, which I did on Saturday), but her joy and the pleasure of everyone in enjoying the food was worth it. I made several dishes; here are four of them. A salad of onions, cucumbers and tomato, with mint sauce and a dash of chilli: https://www.greatpix.eu/All/Cooking-in-confinement/i-SXRCgZQ/A Chicken curry: https://www.greatpix.eu/All/Cooking-in-confinement/i-fWhcqBd/A Prawn curry (peeling 1.2 kg of these things is slimy and time consuming, but damn they taste good): https://www.greatpix.eu/All/Cooking-in-confinement/i-63HFBT3/A And a vegetable curry. The recipe calls for chick peas and potatoes, but I also add cauliflower: https://www.greatpix.eu/All/Cooking-in-confinement/i-h7zh8Mf/A There was also tarka dal, but that is not photogenic, so I did not even try to take pictures of it (it looks like baby puke but tastes delicious). Bon app?tit!
