It's about 2/3rds of a mile away, and then the pier extends a further seawards to its light house. A pleasant walk as always, but I forgot to bring my camera to the delight of my wife, so my old phone pics will have to do. Here's a pair taken from the pier. By the way, the harbour was the idea of Capt. William Bligh of the Bounty fame. He first surveyed Dublin Bay and its navigation problems.
