I have possessed a 14mm for a while, mostly for things that you can't back up enough for. However, expanding the usage I went out looking for weeds to try a different perspective on. Some work and some probably don't, still exploring. Anyway, we come to some trumpet blossoms lying on some decorative grass, mostly a shape and form image: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/discarded+trumpet+blossom+in+tall+grass.jpg.html Here we are trying to emphasis separation: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/opportunistic+light+seeker.jpg.html Playing with some magenta berries: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/magenta+berries+over+a+wall.jpg.html Even at F2ish I am not sure there is enough separation unless looked at on a really large scale: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/growing+faster+than+the+cactus.jpg.html 14mm at closest focus trying to catch the grass in the sun: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/tall+grass+in+the+sun.jpg.html Again, trying to expand separation from the curb to the house: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Sunflowers+with+seed+14mm.jpg.html Last, a stereotypical image with a wide angle: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/bamboo+forest+looking+up+14mm_001.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
