This was established early in Austin's beginnings so they had the opportunity for choice land acquisition. This first image is of the fast pitch softball team doing warm up/strength exercises. I chose it as they are wearing masks even though frequently tested for Covid: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/St+Edwards+fast+pitch+softball.jpg.html This image conveys the great choice of land to establish a university. You don't have to worry about flooding from the river and access to government is all downhill: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/Referees+coordinating+with+runner.jpg.html Now we move several miles north to a pocket park in the Hyde Park neighborhood; this residential setting is just north of the UT campus and is the preferred home for professors and upscale students as housing is either expensive or extremely cramped. In any case Sparky Park is a converted electrical substation that is popular with residents who want to exercise their dog: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/What+are+you+waiting+for+at+Sparky+park.jpg.html And in action after being sent around the park several times to burn up energy in this active breed: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/hunting+the+frisbee.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
