A Bellanca Super Decathlon in eye-catching colors was visiting from Huntsville.? This looks like it would be real "fun machine". http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20200907-P9073538.JPG.html The local skydivers were active in the beautiful sunshine.? Here, a tandem pair (instructor and student) were making a sharp turn upwind for landing. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20200907-P9073544.JPG.html Two more tandem pairs were lined up for landing. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20200907-P9073556.JPG.html Students are told to raise their feet as they approach the ground, while the instructor handles the ground contact. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20200907-P9073558.JPG.html This was my first time to try the ZD 50mm f/2.0 Macro with AF for sky divers.? Not being as agile as I once was, I shot from near the terminal rather than out near the landing zone, but tracking the jumpers against blue sky was not as difficult as I thought it might be.? I might even get up enough nerve to try the 50-200 SWD. -- Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
