Our first example is a seed pod sticking up over the cattails in a large retention pond that serves as a green space for a commercial area: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/blooming+seed+pod.jpg.html Even though I spent a lot of time in the southern US growing up I never saw an okra plant. So, here is one in bloom found at a community garden: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Okra.jpg.html This particular plant was found on a trail closed by our addled Mayor. The rains had delivered several inches of rain which prompted this plant to produce more blossoms: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/after+the+rains.jpg.html Just a bit of asymmetrical symmetry: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/heart+shape.jpg.html This is just the red seeds calling out to me as I am sure they call out to birds and other potential vectors of spread: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/low+hanging+lunch.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
