This first image is in a similar situation and the highlights have been brought down quite a bit. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/where+the+seed+fell.jpg.html This image of the fairly rare pink turkscap is a bit unfair. Many people plant turkscap as a landscape item but it is a native plant. This one was growing in a slough near a creek. I was very tempted to take a cutting or three and see if I could get it to grow at my house: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/pink+turkscap.jpg.html These next two show my love of heavily backlit plants: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/grass+at+the+forest+line.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Christmas+in+June.jpg.html Austin in the spring or rainy season is a lot like the marshy ground that both of our Carter brothers live in. They both will recognize a beautiful vine crawling high into the trees: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/blanket+of+blue.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
