We start at a food truck court on a fairly major N/S artery. This sign has been there for more than ten years. Occasionally it gets defaced and is repainted. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/south+first+food+court.jpg.html This is a cropped vision of a large mural at the exit for a parking garage just north of Lady Bird lake: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/kisses.jpg.html These next two are in a one city block park that is now mostly a place for the homeless to be in the fresh air but close to the church and city food kitchens/outreach programs. Some must have some real talent. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/green+eyes.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/faces.jpg.html Sprinkled throughout the downtown area are these painted artifacts. This was a contest some decades ago much like you see painted cows in some cities: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/vibrancy.jpg.html Last for today is this message board at a gelato emporium demonstrating that many/most of the reopening shops are doing a decent/great job being responsible while keeping employees paid and rent paid: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Austin+Signs/no+touchy.jpg.html Enjoy the coming weekend and I'll post some catch up promised images on Saturday. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
