I am getting away from virus related images and moving more to what is going on in Austin. This weeks weeds is mostly about choices my neighborhood loosely defined has chosen. Bear in mind that Austin is right on the edge of high plains desert. The rainfall we record mostly is just to the south and east. Many people have grown tired of tiered very expensive water bills(Austin is a city of immigrants so many people come from much wetter communities where water bills are reasonable). The following four images are what some people have chosen to do; for the most part allow native plants to flourish and let things live or die without hydration. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/front+yard+I.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/front+yard+II.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/front+yard+III.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/front+yard+IV.jpg.html Last is a large Allium growing down the street near enough to the curb that I didn't feel intrusive by moving closer: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/Allium.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
