When I started using it, I found that the lens had decentered elements that gave double images on one end of the frame. Altman's wouldn't take it back, and I couldn't afford another lens, so I sold it privately. But I used my next Leica, a near-mint M3 w. 50mm Summicron collapsible just about every day from January 1974 to May 2013, when I lost access to a darkroom. I would never let go of my RF friend; it's my favorite camera. I got another (mint) IIIf w. 50 Summicron collapsible in 1986 that I also must keep forever. It's so pretty. -- Alan Alan Magayne-Roshak, Senior Photographer University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Photo Services (Retired) UPAA Photographer of the Year 1978 UPAA Master of the Profession 2014 amr3 at uwm.edu http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/ "All the technique in the world doesn't compensate for an inability to notice.
