We took a hike above the Colorado River on a limestone bluff overlooking the river. It is a popular spot to visit, enjoy the sun and the view. Some of the visitors have a little too much spray paint and not any talent: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/burned+painted+juniper.jpg.html There was a fire on the bluff several years ago that left a number of juniper trees burned out(no loss in Austin as many people are very allergic to their pollen which starts about now: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/burned+juniper+trunk.jpg.html Last, as this is a limestone bluff, if we have a bit of drought some trees don't survive: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Tuesday+Trees/drought+victum.jpg.html All the best.
