It's big. It attracts a lot of attention. It's surprisingly lightweight (for a big lens). It's not so big that I can't hike with it. It can produce a lot of detail on a 40+MP sensor. the pictures: http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/scolopacidae/actitis/spsand03.html http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/turdidae/sialia/weblue33.html http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/anatidae/mergus/comerg26.html http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/falconidae/falco/pefalc15.html http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/anatidae/aythya/rnduck04.html http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/accipitridae/haliaeetus/baeagl11.html Doug Herr Birdman of Sacramento http://www.wildlightphoto.com
