Today brings us plants growing by the sidewalk down Mary Street in SoCo which is a neighborhood in Austin South of the town lake. The first image is of a plant doing quite well for itself despite the lack of rainfall or irrigation: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/weed+with+blossums.jpg.html This next image is of a grass gone to seed. This part of the Texas plain was mostly short grass prairie with the grasses adapted to droughts, by the way, this plant has a few mites visiting for food or profit: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/seedhead+isolated.jpg.html Last for today is an unidentified plant that is just showing distress at the lack of water: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Wednesday+Weeds/sidwalk+week+I.jpg.html All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
