With my upcoming interviews, I know I need to distract myself this weekend,
so I decided to take the 8x10 to the coast for some quick snaps (it's a
joke! :-) )

Passing by Alice's Restaurant, I had always want to photography that iconic
place, so may as well be today. I found a good vantage point, had my wife
holding down the tripod to stabilize it and took a couple pics (which came
out nicely too). Then a biker dude came out holding a camera so we chatted
a bit while putting the camera away. He was with his brother and both are
avid bikers. While I was putting the camera away, I remember my motto "you
always regret not taking the photo you want to take", so I walked back to
them and asked his biker if I may take his photo. After fussing around for
a few minutes, I captured this:

At home, I did a web search on him, and he is locally famous biker,
including judging racing events.

Love the 8x10 tonality. It's really an order of magnitude better than 4x5.
