I found Quito a very charming city, full of steep ups and downs, as it is smack bang in the middle of the Western and Eastern Andean ranges, within spitting distance of an active volcano (!) and around 2850 metres (9350 ft)above msl. As with any South American metropolis, one has to be quite careful where one is walking, and be economical with the flash and cash, but given that, it was really nice. It has a wonderful Old City, from colonial times (Spanish) dating from the mid 16th century, and that is where we stayed for a few days and wandered around: Old City 1: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181121-10003.jpg.html Old City 2: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10263.jpg.html Restaurant: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10277.jpg.html Wall Art: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10278.jpg.html Street Scene: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10330.jpg.html Old Man - Colour: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10430.jpg.html Old Man - B&W: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10430BW.jpg.html Lost in Thought: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/Ecuador/Galapagos-20181122-10410.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments & criticism, as ever, welcome Cheers Jayanand
