Hence, one more try. -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: IMG: A View from the Past Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2018 15:28:40 -0600 From: Jim Nichols <jhnichols at lighttube.net> To: LUG at Leica-Users.org <lug at leica-users.org>, Olympus Camera Discussion <olympus at thomasclausen.net> Trying to get my mind off of events on Wall Street and in Washington, I started looking back at photo files from the past. Sixty years ago, Tullahoma, TN was expanding westward.? This image shows the developing residential areas as viewed from a Piper Cub and recorded by a Leica IIIa. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/West+Tullahoma+January+1959PS.jpg.html Our home at the time was in the small wooded subdivision just below the center of the photo.? Eight years later, we built a new home in the wooded subdivision shown at left center.? The airport can be seen in the upper left corner.? All of the upper right area has been commercially developed, and upscale residential areas have filled the areas further right, and most of the undeveloped area in the foreground. Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated. -- Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
