To make the interminable journey a bit more palatable we took a break for a few days at New York - which included a very pleasant dinner with fellow Lugger Akhil Lal. Of course, visits to the museums were very much on the agenda -. we managed MOMA, the day after we landed, but I was a bit woozy and forgot to take a camera - incidentally as we landed, a snowstorm took hold and gave my wife her first, long delayed experience of one! However, when we visited the Met, I did not forget the camera, and here are a dozen shots from half a day spent there. All taken with the Fuji X-E1 and the 35mm f1.4 lens (50mm full frame equivalent) : Shadows and Light: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10016.jpg.html Juxtaposition: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10058.jpg.html Staircase: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10064.jpg.html Conversation: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10082.jpg.html Diana 1: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10077.jpg.html Diana 2: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10078.jpg.html Stained Glass: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10090.jpg.html Marble: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10091.jpg.html Photograph: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10032.jpg.html Reflections: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10103.jpg.html Greenery: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10050.jpg.html Play: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Galapagos/NYC/Galapagos-20181118-10097.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticisms, as ever, welcome.
