Two blocks behind one of the major shopping districts lie the remains of an industrial complex. The spray paint artists took it over and created an interesting, even thought provoking haven for creative destruction. Currently this is scheduled for redevelopment in January. First up is a sketch of an artist overlaying new on the old: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/Creation+in+chaos.jpg.html An second, someone still needs to clean up afterwards; I spoke to this gentleman who scavenges the cans and creates his work from the rubbish left behind: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/don_dory_gmail_com/Monday+Misc/refuse+in+creation.jpg.html I do find it interesting that the urge to create doesn't imply permanence. A last thought is that talent and creativity needs to be curated and saved from the hordes. All the best. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
