Usually they are easily seen as they hunt during the day to avoid the lions and hyenas, who would otherwise steal their kill. There was a deadly alliance of 5 males though, who hinted at a hunt (5 of them could go after a wildebeest or a juvenile zebra, so it would be worth watching!), and then sat down and did nothing on two days! It is believed that they were two sets of unrelated brothers, who got together and formed an alliance: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180909-194.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180909-220.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180909-344.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180909-2226.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180909-2275.jpg.html The only other Cheetah we saw was a graceful female. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180912-5093.jpg.html When we first saw her she had been chased and cornered by Topi: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180912-3621b.jpg.html When we finished with her an hour or two later, she was cornered by something not quite as natural: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2018/Mara- 20180912-3686B.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome Cheers Jayanand
