Sunset is somewhat later in the day at 53 degrees north - Ireland is at the equivalent latitude to Labrador - and because we're on the same time zone as London which is 600kms further to the east, a sunset on Galway Bay is around 45 minutes later than London.?? These shots are both taken around 10pm and are a day apart with two different cameras and lenses from roughly the same point. Sunset taken from Ballyvaughan pier, Co. Clare looking out over Galway Bay with the Twelve Bens 40 miles away on the horizon. Fuji X100S. Can be seen large. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DouglasBray/Co+Clare/Approaching+Sunset+over+Galway+Bay_+Ballyvaughan+Co_+Clare+27th+June+2018.jpg.html Shrinking sunset the following day also taken from Ballyvaughan pier, Co. Clare looking out over Galway Bay with the sun slipping behind the Twelve Bens 40 miles away on the horizon. Sony A7ii with Leica Elmar 50/2.8. Look large if you want to see the heron on the rocks. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DouglasBray/Co+Clare/Approaching+Sunset+over+Galway+Bay_+Ballyvaughan+Co_+Clare+27th+June+2018.jpg.html Comments and criticisms welcome.
