I find that a few tin cans and some fishing line are usually all I need 
for a dependable phone.? If I do not have enough line, I probably didn't 
need to talk to the party anyway.

Aram, still using only a landline and blissfully aware of not missing 
anything important. 1 ringy dingy, 2 ringy dingy....
