She lived to 86, though the past few years have been a roundelay of progressively worsening illnesses. I will miss her charm, grace, and all things Rabelaisian. A few years ago one of my parents? longtime friends found an 8mm movie buried in a back closet. It was shot during a company outing to Bermuda in 1958, and thanks to a Herald Tribune headline in the film I dated it to May 17th, 1958. She had been married less than four months at the time. The image is an enlarged frame. Thank goodness for analog photography, and the stability of Kodachrome in back closets! http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/focusit/Joan+May+17_+1958.jpg.html Jim Shulman Wynnewood, PA
