Thanks Douglas, the food is very good there ;-) It was my first time to John 
O'Groats, odd as I grew up a mile from Lands End.

I'd never heard of the Whaligoe Steps, but it seems to be among the wonders 
of Scotland, and I've always wanted to to go to John O'Groats. 
Your friend Karen's cafe certainly seems worth a detour if I ever venture 
further than 58 degrees North. Maybe sometime.
